InfoSiftr, LLC has recently become a Certified Training Partner of Docker, Inc., and is pleased to announce to offer its first public training course on “Introduction to Docker” held at the Innevation Center located at: 6795 S Edmond St, 3rd Floor, Las Vegas, NV 89118 on May 15th and 16th from 9 AM PDT till 6 PM PDT for both days.
InfoSiftr has worked with Docker, Inc. before on private training engagements, but this is the first time that InfoSiftr is making this training available to the general public.
The SUPERNAP is a partner with InfoSiftr for this event and is providing the training space at the Innevation Center. During the first day of this event, Switch will be providing a tour of its SUPERNAP Facilities to the participants.
Justin Steele, President of InfoSiftr said, “By partnering with the SUPERNAP, we can provide the students not only the best practices with Docker, but show them the best in breed solutions to use for a Docker container deployment.”
During this two-day training participants will have a great introduction to the Docker and Container Ecosystem. They will go through a variety of hands-on exercises designed to help them quickly grow from a beginner into a seasoned user. In addition, they will learn best practices on how to use Docker in their organizations through a series of classroom lectures, exercises, and hands on workshops.
The Course will cover the following items:
• Learn what Docker is and what it is for.
• Learn the terminology; define images, containers, etc.
• Learn how to install Docker.
• Use Docker to run containers.
• Use Docker to build containers.
• Learn how to orchestrate Docker containers.
• Interact with the Docker Hub website.
• Acquire tips and good practice.
• Know what’s next: the future of Docker and how to get help.
After this training workshop participants will have a solid understanding of Docker and be able to comfortably integrate Docker into most development and IT environments.
Participants do not need any prior knowledge of Docker; only a basic knowledge of Linux commands is required. Additionally, they will need a laptop with Linux running either as the main operating system or in a virtual machine.
